Privacy Policy

Overview

MeetWiz is a group scheduling app operated by Feldman that helps groups find a meeting time everyone can make. This policy explains what information MeetWiz collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the MeetWiz Android app and the MeetWiz web app.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or with an email and password, we receive your name, email address, and (with Google Sign-In) your profile photo. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.

Content you create

The groups you create or join, the meetings and events proposed in them, your availability responses, and invite codes you use are stored so the app can work.

Push notification tokens

If you allow notifications, a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging is stored so MeetWiz can send you meeting updates and reminders.

Usage and diagnostics

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics, which collects general usage information such as device type, app interactions, and app-instance identifiers to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan QR invite codes. Scanning happens entirely on your device — no photos or video are stored or uploaded.

How we use your information

• To let you sign in and keep your account secure.
• To run groups, propose meetings, and collect availability from members.
• To send push notifications about meetings and reminders you have opted into.
• To understand app usage and fix problems.

MeetWiz does not sell your personal information and does not show ads.

What other users see

Your display name and profile photo are visible to members of the groups and events you join, along with your availability responses for their meetings. People outside your groups cannot see this information.

Who we share data with

Your data is processed by service providers that host and power the app, under their own privacy commitments:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics) — see the Firebase privacy documentation.
• Vercel — hosts the MeetWiz API and web app — see the Vercel privacy policy.

We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can leave a group at any time, which removes you from its member list.

To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, email feldman.ofer11@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We will delete your account data within 30 days.

Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Data access is restricted by Firebase security rules so that only you and the members of your groups can read the content you share with them.

Children

MeetWiz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
